Major Blog Change Coming!

Hello friends/family! Hope all is well with you! Brad and I are looking forward (ok we are giddy with excitement...at least I am!) to our gigantic road trip coming up in less than one month to see all of you in TN/NC. We can't wait to see you! We would appreciate prayers for safe--and sane--travels with our little ones. Brad is finishing up the school year; and I am scrambling to get our gardens planted so that we can come home in July to some home grown produce in our back yard!
I wanted to let you all know, I am making some changes on this blog. I started it almost 4 years ago with some idea of what I wanted to do with it, but my direction got fuzzy at some point, thus it's become an unfocused and inconsistent conglomeration of both my writing and a bunch of pictures of our family and what we've been up to. Both are good, but I want to be more purposeful on my little corner of the internet. I've decided to set this blog to private and let it be simply pictures and journal entries of what our little brood's been up to. I do a terrible job of keeping up with photo albums (as in I don't have any), but I've consistently posted pictures and documented what's going on in our family's life on this blog ever since Addison was a baby. I want to continue that so that we have an online 'photo album/family journal' to look back on, and so that our friends and family, especially those of you that don't see us on a regular basis, can keep up with us if you want to. I need to make our family blog private (as in only us, our friends/family/acquaintances) for my own peace of mind. I've gotten to where I'm uncomfortable with anyone and their brother being able to look at and read about my girls. Then, I'll be launching a new blog soon...one that's public and anyone can read. That one will be just writing, something I'm convicted to get back to now that I'm not neck deep in constant diaper changing, midnight feedings, and grasping for that thing called sleep that seems so elusive when you have a newborn. I'm not entirely sure how it will work, making this one private. You might have to request to follow and wait for me to get the request and approve you. I'm assuming that's how it will work but I'm not sure...
Well that's all for now! Here are some recent pictures. I really enjoy snapping pictures of the mundane. Lily licking a beater after helping me make muffins; Izzie's first time coloring; playing downtown after getting ice cream on a random Tuesday; watching cartoons on Saturday morning with dad; painting in the front yard. Just snapshots of real life around here...
